Last Thursday I went down to London to see Mcbess at the Hayward Gallery to catch up and see the mid stages of a live drawing he was doing with another amazing artist Ugo Gattoni.
These pics don’t do their work any justice AT ALL! Iv known mcbess a while now but its not until your next to him watching him work freehand and see the detailing close up that you realise how skilled this man is!
Me + Mcbess will be working together very soon on a Jilted collaboration AND on a live paint project inside Candy Store. ….KEEP EM PEALED!

Checkout their websites! Ugo’s site has a piece of artwork on it that took him 6months to complete, the detail is out of this world! (Anybody like MEAT + FISTING? ….Of course ya do!) His website also has a super ‘ZOOM IN’ feature which lets you see every detail of the art piece!
A couple months ago I was contacted by MixMag photographer Tamsin Mae who told me the magazine wanted to do a day in the life type article on myself and my store. The piece was for a blog on their new Fashion + music site which they released a couple weeks ago.
For this i spoke to the lads at Ichiban and arranged a sale day in store. To tie the fashion n music together I also planned Candy Store’s 2nd collab event with MHVH at The Rainbow.
Cue started over an hour before we opened
By 2pm we’d done the lot, only a few Tee’s left!
After a busy day what better to cheer up the lads than a visit from = ‘the’ Prada wearing Ice Man, @RealBigBoothy
….Few mixed drinks at the shop to celebrate the day then its party time!

On July 22nd I opened my new shop‘The Candy Store’
Many things have changed in my life over the last few years as people who have followed my blog from the beginning will know!
My change of career/life has been an uphill struggle and the hard work has been continuous to pull together all the things I have! Despite this I wouldn’t have it any other way and looking back the struggle has definitely been worth it! I wont stop doing what I do until I have achieved everything I set out to do around 4years ago!
The ‘pulling together’ is 1 thing but for me its the maintaining that has been the issue, my mind is at times a volatile place and my actions are often uncontrollable.
(The opening of this store for me personally was a sign that things are heading in the right direction and I have finally achieved full self control!)
….Things can only get better, ONWARDS AND UPWARDS!

Iv had a hectic few months so at the moment im constantly feeling worn out!
Saturday at 3am I had to get a taxi from Birmingham to London and get a 7:30am flight to Basel airport (Switzerland). Then when I arrived there at 10am we had to drive down into Belfort (France)
….Once there i had 12hrs ‘work’ (ha) to do so the day had just began!
Driver was waiting at the airport for me with a cold drink and a big smile I knew from then it was gonna be a good weekend! (as always!)

….The snoring continues!!!!
Due to the 2days continual drinkin and loss of all flight info i had to get the taxi to the airport few hours early just in case. JonDixwas already heading to the airport so just jumped in with him.
….Its better to be safe than sorry kiddies!
